Chairperson Message
Tia Boyd - Board Chairperson
Welcome to Queen City HBCUs!

As Chairperson, I am honored to lead this initiative that unites and uplifts our local HBCU alumni chapters. Growing up immersed in HBCU culture, my journey began with Upward Bound at Benedict College, followed by enriching experiences at Claflin and SC State University. My passion for these institutions continued through my education at North Carolina A&T, where my love for HBCUs truly blossomed.

Queen City HBCUs is dedicated to strengthening our alumni associations, fostering student recruitment, and building meaningful connections within our community. Together, we are creating a future of collaboration and support for our beloved institutions.

Inspired by a song my grandfather song to me, "Let the work that I've done speak for me," I am committed to making an impact, and I’m excited to work with each of you as we continue to elevate our schools and communities.

Warm regards,
Tia Boyd
Chairperson, Queen City HBCUs Inc.
